Welcoming the new CEO of Women in Banking and Finance

26 Apr 2022

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Stephanie Girard as the new Chief Executive Officer of Women in Banking and Finance Limited (WiBF) following a comprehensive search process.

Stephanie has a strong background in a corporate membership industry body in Canada where she was CEO for two years before relocating to Sydney with her family. A former CEO of PIJAC Canada, Stephanie is a seasoned leader who spent more than two decades in the fields of public relations and media, including over 15 years at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. She also spent six years in senior marketing and communication roles in the healthcare sector helping the most vulnerable in the community.

With MBAs from Cornell University in the USA and Queens University in Canada, Stephanie is well credentialed to lead WiBF on our next journey of development and to explore and take on new opportunities for our members.

Our vision at WiBF is to create a tangible and positive impact in the Australian banking and financial services sector, supporting the growth and promotion of professional women, particularly in the mid-senior career stages, and we believe Stephanie is well-positioned to continue to deliver this vision, backed by a strong team and board.

As we welcome Stephanie, we would also like to take this opportunity to thank Jen Dalitz for her leadership, and the new initiatives she has brought to the role and the organisation during her time here at WiBF. Jen brought positive change and growth, including the launch of WiBF Awards and the introduction of a digital learning environment for members. During the past two years, in particular, Jen’s leadership in navigating the difficult COVID-19 environment has ensured WiBF continued to deliver its value proposition to members through a suite of virtual programs that has seen us emerge from the pandemic in a stronger and more sustainable financial position.

Please join us in wishing Jen all the best for the future and welcoming Stephanie to WiBF.
