WiBF FAQ

At WiBF, we strive to answer each and every question about our work and how you can get involved. To this end, we’ve compiled an extensive list of questions that we receive frequently. Please review these questions and our responses. If your question is still not answered, feel free to Contact Us and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Membership with WiBF

The WiBF website is sensitive to extra characters (e.g: a space) that is left before or after a username, or before or after a password. Please check that you have not left any extra spaces and try again. If you are still having trouble logging in, please let us know via the Contact Us form.

After you have filled out the registration form, you will receive an email with a confirmation link. You need to click on that link to verify and finalise your registration. Once you have done that, you will be able to log in using the username and password that you set during the registration process. If you don’t verify via that link, the registration is still incomplete.

Yes, all of our events and courses have reasonable non-member prices, so you can still participate.

The most likely issue is that during the registration process you did not choose your organisation from a drop down menu, so our system is not able to assign you under your organisation’s corporate membership. Log back into your My Member Dashboard and change your details to include your organisation from the drop down menu.

Another option is that you did not use your work email address during the registration process. Our website is designed to reconcile our corporate member organisations domain names with each individual’s email address, as a security measure. Log back into your My Member Dashboard and include your work email address as the primary email.

A WiBF member is an employee of one of our corporate member organisations. If you are a WiBF member, you can register under your organisation’s corporate membership and access our events and courses at member prices. If your organisation is not a WiBF corporate member and you would like to participate in WiBF’s events, you can register as a subscriber (free) and access our events and courses at non-member prices.

We work very closely with the key corporates and our members in the banking and finance sector to understand the internal programs that are being run and how the WiBF offering can complement the in-house programs, so that there is no duplication, but instead a greater value add. We identify the key gaps that are not being addressed and ensure that our offering is tailored so that it is relevant, beneficial and has a strong point of difference.

Absolutely! We encourage it – we believe that real change can only happen when both genders are equal and active participants and are collaborating. Most of our events have a 40% attendance from males and we would like to have a strong gender balance across our events and courses.

Opportunities with WiBF

An exciting opportunity exists for passionate and proactive WiBF members to join a WiBF State Leadership Committee (“SLC”) in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria or Western Australia. Each SLC consists of employees of WiBF Corporate Members and Individual Members of WiBF who support the WiBF executive team and Board by providing local leadership and direction on WiBF programs and member engagement and provide on-the-ground logistical support at local WiBF events. To apply contact: ceo@wibf.org.au

If you like to write, we welcome contributions to our WiBF Newsletter on topics related to leadership, innovation, diversity and inclusion across the industry. Send your story to mail@wibf.org.au.

We are always looking to deepen our engagement across business units and division/state offices of our existing corporate members. If you can make introductions to heads of business units or engage them in our events and courses, this is incredibly helpful to us. Please contact us if you have introductions you would like to make.
