Jim Freeman, Deutsche Bank

Jim Freeman is a Managing Director and the Chief Risk Officer for Deutsche Bank Australia. He is also the Asia-Pacific Head of Non-Financial Risk for Deutsche Bank in the region.

Jim has been with DB for over 25 years working in Sydney, London & Singapore and has worked in the industry for 30 years. In his prior role, Jim ran the 1st Line of Defence for DB’s Fixed Income, Equities & Investment Bank businesses in Asia-Pacific as the Divisional Control Officer. He was responsible for developing and enhancing the first line controls and managing conduct risk across the regional franchise. Prior to that Jim held a number of COO roles including Investment Banking & Markets COO for Non-Japan Asia from Singapore, Global COO for Structuring & Global COO for Commodities both based in London.

Early in his career, Jim worked for UBS (in Hong Kong), Salomon Brothers (in London) & HSBC (in Sydney) in Finance roles. He started his career at Price Waterhouse after completing a Bachelor of Economics at the University of Sydney.
