Josephine Majewski, Citi Australia & New Zealand’s Corporate and Investment Banking


Josephine Majewski is a Director and the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Citi Australia & New Zealand’s Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) division. In her current role, Josephine is responsible for overseeing CIB’s ongoing business operations, control framework and compliance, human resource management, as well as shaping and implementing the division’s business strategy. Additionally, Josephine represents CIB in a number of governance committees including: Business Risk, Compliance and Control Committee, Anti-Money Laundering Risk, Compliance and Control committee, Asset and Liability Committee, Country Regulatory Risk Oversight Governance Committee, Executive Risk Committee.

Josephine has over 10 years of experience in the investment banking industry. Prior to working for Citi, she was the COO of Barclays Australia’s Investment Bank, and held similar roles at the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and ABN AMRO. Additionally she served as a director in the Internal Audit department of ABN AMRO Australia & New Zealand from 2004 to 2006 and worked as an external auditor at PricewaterhouseCoppers from 2000 to 2004. Josephine holds a Masters in Finance and Economics from the University of Lyon Lumiere 2 with a Major in Finance. Aside from her professional achievements, Josephine is a passionate advocate of gender equality in the workplace and plays a prominent role leading the Citi Senior Women’s Council as well as mentoring young and upcoming female talent within the organisation.
