Julie Hunter, CBA


Julie Hunter is a Managing Director in the Institutional Banking & Markets division at CBA. She is charged with transforming the Institutional Lending business on an end-to-end basis.

Prior to joining CBA in 2013, Julie was Head of Balance Sheet Strategy in the Institutional Banking division of ANZ. Julie joined ANZ in 2005 as Executive Director and Head of Debt Capital Markets. Prior to this, she headed up both the Securitisation and Corporate Bond businesses at Westpac, and has spent a large part of her career in debt capital markets. She started her career in the finance industry in 1989, initially working in a university affiliated venture capital firm.

Julie has a Masters degree in finance and a Graduate degree in accounting. She has also completed the Company Directors course with the AICD and has held multiple governance related roles, including serving as a Non-Executive Director of Foodbank NSW.

Julie has a passionate commitment to diversity and inclusion. She has been involved in WiBF since 2007 as President of the first WiBF Toastmasters club in Sydney.  She initially joined the Executive Committee in 2009 and founded the Education Sub-Committee in order to bring innovative and dynamic learning to WiBF members.
